Description: The Peanut Butter Falcon is a 2019 film that follows the heartwarming journey of Zak, a 22-year-old man with Down syndrome, who dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. After escaping from a state-run care facility with the help of his elderly roommate, Zak sets out to train under his idol, the Salt Water Redneck. Along the way, Zak crosses paths with Tyler, a man on the run after burning the gear of his rivals, Duncan and Ratboy. Together, Zak and Tyler embark on an adventure to reach the Salt Water Redneck’s wrestling school in North Carolina.
Meanwhile, Eleanor, Zak’s caretaker, sets out to find him and bring him back to the facility. As Zak and Tyler travel together, they form a bond, with Tyler teaching Zak essential life skills and preparing him for wrestling. They eventually build a raft to continue their journey by water. When Eleanor catches up with them, she learns that her boss plans to send Zak to a stricter facility, prompting her to join their quest.
Their journey takes an unexpected turn when Duncan and Ratboy confront them, leading Zak to defend the group. Upon reaching their destination, Tyler discovers that the Salt Water Redneck has retired, but he convinces him to train Zak. Despite efforts to ensure Zak’s safety in the ring, the match takes a dangerous turn, and tensions rise when Duncan and Ratboy reappear, resulting in a dramatic confrontation. This touching story explores friendship, determination, and the pursuit of dreams.
