Description: In 2017, “The Mummy” tells the story of an ancient Egyptian princess cursed and mummified for attempting to summon the god Set. In present-day London, construction workers uncover the tomb of a crusader knight buried with an Egyptian ruby in 1127 AD. Meanwhile, in Iraq, U.S. Army soldiers Sergeant Nick Morton and Corporal Chris Vail discover the tomb of Princess Ahmanet. Alongside archaeologist Jenny Halsey, they transport Ahmanet’s sarcophagus to Britain.
During the flight, Chris becomes possessed by Ahmanet through a spider bite and attacks the others. Nick is forced to kill him. The plane is then attacked by crows and crashes, killing the crew except for Jenny, who escapes using a parachute Nick provides.
Miraculously, Nick revives in a morgue, where Chris’s ghost informs him that he is cursed by Ahmanet, who intends to use him as a vessel for Set. Ahmanet escapes her sarcophagus, feeds on people to restore her body, and retrieves the Dagger of Set, turning workers into zombies. She traps Nick and Jenny, but soldiers intervene and capture Ahmanet.
Their leader, Dr. Henry Jekyll, reveals that Jenny is part of Prodigium, a secret organization dedicated to combating supernatural threats. Jekyll plans to allow Set to fully possess Nick, believing this will make Set vulnerable. When Jekyll transforms into Edward Hyde, Nick uses a serum to stop him, and he and Jenny escape.
Ahmanet finds them, summons crusader zombies, and creates a massive sandstorm in London. Nick and Jenny escape once more, but Ahmanet recovers the ruby and combines it with the dagger to free Set. Guided by Chris’s ghost, Nick and Jenny flee into the London Underground, where Ahmanet’s minions attack them.
Ahmanet captures Jenny and drowns her. Nick, injured in an attempt to stop Ahmanet, deceives her by pretending to embrace her. He then steals the dagger and destroys the ruby, thwarting her plans.
