Description: Moon Crash 2022 is a sci-fi disaster film that explores the consequences of a lunar mining accident. A global steelworks company partners with an aerospace firm to extract resources from the Moon. However, a drilling mishap causes a massive fragment of the Moon to break off and hurtle towards Earth. The surviving space team and the head of the aerospace firm must now work together to devise a plan to destroy the incoming meteoroid before it devastates the planet. The Asylum, known for its mockbuster productions, has created Moon Crash as a response to Roland Emmerich’s Moonfall. This is in line with their reputation for releasing films that parallel major blockbuster releases, such as Planet Dune (inspired by Dune), Jungle Run (paired with Jungle Cruise), and Ape vs. Monster (reminiscent of Godzilla vs. Kong).
