Description: Gloria Fuentes, a Latin-American makeup artist from Los Angeles, travels to Tijuana, Mexico, to visit her best friend, Suzu. While at a local nightclub, Suzu tries to impress the police chief, Saucedo, to improve her chances in the upcoming Miss Baja California beauty pageant. During the evening, armed gunmen storm the club, causing chaos. Gloria narrowly escapes but is separated from Suzu. The next day, unable to contact her friend, Gloria seeks help from a police officer, hoping to find Suzu. However, the officer betrays her, delivering her to Los Estrellas, the cartel responsible for the attack.
Their leader, Lino, offers to help Gloria find Suzu in exchange for her cooperation. Reluctantly, Gloria agrees and is tasked with parking a car near a building. Unbeknownst to her, the car is rigged with a bomb, and the building is a DEA safehouse. After the explosion, Lino enters Gloria into the Miss Baja pageant. During rehearsals, she attempts to escape but is caught by DEA agent Brian Reich. Suspecting her involvement in the bombing, Brian forces her to become an informant, implanting a tracking chip in her phone and sending her back to the cartel.
