**Plot Summary:**
Zulfiqar Ahmed (Prosenjit Chatterjee) is a dominant and influential figure within the Syndicate, a powerful organization that controls much of the city’s activities. Basheer Khan (Kaushik Sen), a member of the Syndicate, is both a nationalist and a gangster who staunchly opposes terrorism. Tony Braganza (Parambrata Chatterjee) serves as the Syndicate’s strategist, managing the organization’s finances, while Markaz Ali (Dev) is the enforcer. Although Tony can take decisive action when necessary, he primarily focuses on paperwork. Tony and Markaz share a close bond despite their frequent disagreements, especially given Markaz’s inability to speak.
Zulfiqar is married to Karishma Ahmed (Paoli Dam), a gentle and reserved woman, but he maintains an extramarital relationship with Rani Talapatra (Nusrat Jahan), a money lender and owner of the “Blue Nile Bar.” Rani, in turn, is romantically involved with Markaz.
