Description: In a world of anthropomorphic mammals, Judy Hopps, a rabbit from rural Bunnyburrow, achieves her childhood dream of becoming a police officer in the bustling city of Zootopia. Despite graduating as the academy valedictorian, Judy is assigned to parking duty by Chief Bogo, who doubts her capabilities because she is a rabbit. On her first day, she encounters Nick Wilde, a cunning fox, and his partner Finnick, who trick her. Determined to prove herself, Judy leaves her post to arrest Duke Weaselton, a weasel who stole a valuable bag of crocus bulbs.
However, Judy’s actions lead to a reprimand from Chief Bogo. Soon after, Mrs. Otterton pleads for help in finding her missing husband, Emmitt, one of several vanished animals. Judy volunteers to take on the case, supported by Assistant Mayor Dawn Bellwether. Chief Bogo reluctantly agrees, giving Judy 48 hours to solve the mystery or resign.
To assist her, Judy blackmails Nick into helping by recording his confession to tax evasion. Together, they uncover that Emmitt had turned savage, attacking a chauffeur. Their investigation leads them to the crime boss Mr. Big, who reveals more about the mysterious transformations. Judy and Nick face danger as they piece together clues, including the mention of “Night Howlers,” while battling mistrust and prejudice.
Throughout the story, Judy’s determination and Nick’s hidden vulnerabilities highlight themes of trust, resilience, and overcoming stereotypes in the diverse city of Zootopia.
