Description: Software engineer Balajeet “Bala” Roy, played by Sanjay Dutt, leads a happy life with his wife, Nisha Roy, portrayed by Celina Jaitly, as they eagerly await the birth of their child. However, Bala’s world shatters when he is abruptly abducted by unknown captors and confined to a cell. After a year, he receives a visit from Nisha, only to discover she has been brutally murdered, her head severed. Bala remains imprisoned in complete isolation for 14 years, with no knowledge of who captured him or the reason behind it. During his captivity, he hones his martial arts skills by watching TV, determined to use this training against his captors when the time comes. Finally, he is released without explanation and embarks on a quest for vengeance.
In Bangkok, Bala befriends a taxi driver named Jenny, played by Lara Dutta, who assists him in tracking down his kidnappers. His investigation leads him to a restaurant that supplied his meals during his imprisonment. Following a delivery driver, he uncovers a private prison where individuals can pay to incarcerate others. Bala confronts the prison owner, Wong Foo, played by Rajendranath Zutshi, extracting information through brutal methods, including removing Wong’s teeth with a claw hammer. He learns he was imprisoned for “talking too much” and fights his way out, sustaining injuries in the process. A mysterious hooded man rescues him, later revealed to be Rohit Chopra, played by John Abraham.
Despite Bala’s efforts, Wong Foo retaliates by kidnapping and torturing Jenny, threatening to harm Bala in the same manner. Rohit intervenes, and Bala finds solace with Jenny, leading to an intimate moment. Bala later discovers his daughter is alive and uncovers the shocking truth: his kidnapper is none other than Rohit. The story takes a tragic turn when Bala’s friend Joy, played by Mahesh Manjrekar, is killed, intensifying Bala’s determination to confront the truth and seek justice for the years he lost.
