Description: The movie “Yuddham Sei” (2011) begins on a rainy night when a woman notices an unconscious girl in the backseat of an auto-rickshaw while trying to hire it. Sensing something wrong, she calls the police, but the driver chases her. The scene then shifts to a New Year’s celebration at a beach, where a cardboard box on a parked car catches the attention of revellers. A similar box is found in a park, and both contain amputated male arms. The case is assigned to Senior Inspector J. Krishnan (J.K.), a former cop who now works with CB-CID. J.K., known for his honesty, is haunted by the disappearance of his sister Charu, who went missing six months earlier. Assisted by junior officers Prakash and Tamilselvi, J.K. investigates the gruesome case.
At the morgue, they consult forensic expert Judas Iscariot, who often draws philosophical parallels between J.K. and Jiddu Krishnamurthi. J.K. identifies one pair of hands as belonging to an auto driver named Moorthy and follows this lead. Through a local goon, Surendra, they trace a middleman named Rajamanickam. J.K. retrieves sensitive information from the ACP’s office while continuing his search for his sister, often revisiting the location where she was last seen. Meanwhile, Rajamanickam is brutally tortured, his hands amputated with an electric saw by a black-clad, shaven-headed man, and displayed in a subway crossing. A tip leads J.K. to a lodge in Triplicane, where Rajamanickam’s bike is found, but only his associate, Raghu, is discovered dead. J.K. chases a mysterious man but loses him in the streets. The film delves into a dark and gripping investigative journey.
