Janhit Mein Jaari, Bollywood’s latest entry in the PSA-comedy genre, starts off so well that it’s almost too good to be true. Directed by Jai Basantu Singh and skillfully written by Raaj Shaandilyaa (of Dream Girl fame), the film shines brilliantly in its first half. However, the second half takes a sharp decline, marking one of the most disappointing falls in recent cinema.
Nushrratt Bharuccha plays a woman from Chanderi who faces unemployment and parental pressure to marry. To solve these issues, she takes a job at a condom manufacturing company, leading to predictable complications. Despite this, she excels at her job and finds a supportive husband. However, her conservative in-laws are less than thrilled to discover the source of their new car and modern amenities.
