**Storyline:**
Aydın, a retired actor, owns a hotel located on a mountain in Cappadocia, along with several rental properties leased to local tenants. Living a more privileged life compared to the surrounding community, he dedicates his time to writing columns for a local newspaper and researching the history of Turkish theater, with aspirations to author a book on the subject.
One day, while driving to the village with his assistant Hidayet, Aydın’s car window is shattered by a stone thrown by İlyas, the son of İsmail, one of Aydın’s tenants who is behind on rent payments. When confronted, İsmail reveals that Aydın’s representatives had already sent a collection agency to seize his television and refrigerator, leading to a violent altercation with the police. The situation intensifies until İsmail’s brother, Hamdi, steps in to mediate.
Hamdi, a local imam seeking to appease Aydın, brings İlyas to apologize for the incident. However, this gesture only irritates Aydın, prompting him to write a critical column about how religious leaders should set better examples for their communities. His sister, Necla, initially questions why Aydın doesn’t use his talents for a more significant platform than the local newspaper but later accuses him of superficial and sentimental criticism from his privileged position. This sparks a heated exchange of sarcastic remarks between the siblings.
Nihal, Aydın’s much younger wife, strives to find purpose in her life by organizing fundraisers to build schools—an endeavor that Aydın shows little interest in. When Nihal hosts a fundraising event at their home, tensions rise further, adding to the complex dynamics of their relationships.
