The story unfolds within the pages of a storybook, with visible letters scattered throughout the scenes. One day, Winnie the Pooh wakes up to find that he has run out of honey. Desperate to satisfy his hunger, he sets out on a quest to find more. Along the way, Pooh discovers that Eeyore, his sad and gloomy friend, has lost his tail. Pooh, along with Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, and Roo, decides to help Eeyore. Meanwhile, Tigger is busy enjoying his bouncing antics.
Christopher Robin steps in to organize a contest to find a replacement for Eeyore’s tail, offering a pot of honey as the prize. Despite everyone’s creative attempts, none of their ideas work. Kanga suggests using a scarf, which initially seems like a good solution, but it soon unravels.
Meanwhile, Pooh is still struggling to find honey. He visits Christopher Robin’s house and finds a note that reads, “Gon Out Bizy Back Soon” (a misspelled version of “Gone Out, Busy, Back Soon”). Unable to decipher the message, Pooh seeks Owl’s help. Owl’s poor reading skills lead the group to believe that Christopher Robin has been kidnapped by a mysterious creature called the “Backson.”
Determined to save their friend, Rabbit devises a plan to trap the Backson in a pit by luring it with a trail of items. Meanwhile, Tigger, eager to fight the Backson, convinces Eeyore to become his sidekick. Eeyore reluctantly agrees and even dresses up as the Backson, but eventually, he escapes Tigger’s antics and hides underwater, where he discovers an anchor.
Pooh, still fixated on finding honey, attempts to raid a beehive but ends up eating mud instead. His hunger and imagination blur reality, and he accidentally falls into the pit Rabbit had set for the Backson. The story continues as the friends navigate their misunderstandings and comical adventures.
