Storyline:
Based on the Chinese fable *Legend of the White Snake*, the story centers on Blanca, a white snake demon who disguises herself as a human woman. She loses her memory and falls in love with Xuan, a snake hunter. However, her younger sister, Verta, a green snake demon, strongly disapproves of this relationship.
The story opens with the two sisters discussing immortality in a traditional Chinese bath. Blanca is later shown on a mission to assassinate a general but is caught in a battle that causes her to fall into water and lose her memory. Xuan rescues her and takes her to his village, where the inhabitants catch snakes for the general, believing they grant immortality. Initially skeptical, Blanca eventually warms up to Xuan after discovering her magical abilities and begins to develop feelings for him.
During their journey, they find a magical jade hairpin that triggers Blanca’s memories. Meanwhile, in a cavern of oppressed snake demons, it is revealed that Blanca’s sister is alive and serves the Snake Master. A snake sees Blanca with Xuan, branding her a traitor for associating with a snake hunter.
As Blanca’s memories resurface, she is comforted by Xuan, leading to a moment of closeness between them. When Verta confronts them, Blanca announces her return to the snake demon world, claiming their differences as a human and a demon make their relationship impossible. Xuan vows to find a way for them to be together, leaving to seek a solution.
