Danish Ali, an Anti-Terrorism Squad officer, lives with his wife Ruhana and their young daughter Noorie. One day, while out with his family, Danish spots terrorist Farooq Rameez and gives chase. Tragically, Noorie is killed in the ensuing shootout, and Rameez escapes. Devastated, Ruhana blames Danish for their daughter’s death. Later, Danish kills Rameez during a police operation, angering his superiors who wanted Rameez alive to uncover the identity of a politician he was supposed to meet.
Overcome with grief, Danish contemplates suicide at Noorie’s grave when a mysterious van appears and leaves. He discovers a wallet nearby and returns it to its owner, Pandit Omkar Nath Dhar, a wheelchair-bound chess master who once taught Noorie. Pandit begins teaching Danish chess and shares the story of his own daughter, Nina, who died under suspicious circumstances. Nina had been teaching chess to Ruhi, the daughter of politician Yazaad Qureshi, and Pandit believes her fatal fall down the stairs was no accident.
Curious and determined, Danish attempts to investigate Qureshi but is threatened by the minister’s security. When he questions Ruhi at her school, Qureshi intervenes and intimidates her. That night, Pandit is viciously attacked by Wazir, a hitman sent by Qureshi, warning them to back off.
Pandit travels to Kashmir, where Qureshi is headed. Wazir threatens Danish over the phone, claiming he will kill Pandit. Danish races to save Pandit, but Wazir destroys the van, killing Pandit. Seeking justice, Danish teams up with Superintendent of Police Vijay Malik to draw out Wazir. During Qureshi’s public event, Malik triggers explosives to create chaos, allowing Danish to confront Wazir.
