Description: The 2016 movie “Warcraft” is set in the world of Draenor, the home of the orcs, which is being destroyed by a mysterious force called fel magic. Gul’dan, an orc warlock, unites the orc clans into the Horde and creates a portal to Azeroth by using fel magic to drain life from captured draenei. Leading a small warband through the portal, Gul’dan aims to capture prisoners on Azeroth to bring the Horde to the new world. Among the warband is Durotan, chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan, his pregnant mate Draka, and his friend Orgrim Doomhammer. Upon arriving in Azeroth, Draka gives birth, and Gul’dan saves the dying baby, Go’el, by infusing it with fel magic. The orcs begin raiding Azeroth’s settlements. Anduin Lothar, commander of Stormwind’s human forces, encounters Khadgar, a mage investigating traces of fel magic in the slain.
Lothar, Khadgar, and Medivh track the fel magic but are ambushed by orcs. Medivh uses a spell to kill the corrupted orcs, forcing the Horde’s warchief, Blackhand, to retreat. The group captures Garona, a half-orc slave, who is later freed by King Llane in exchange for her loyalty. Garona helps the humans spy on the orc camp, revealing Gul’dan’s plan to bring the Horde to Azeroth. Khadgar discovers that someone in Azeroth assisted Gul’dan in opening the portal.
Durotan secretly meets with Llane to form an alliance against Gul’dan, but they are ambushed by Blackhand. Medivh creates a magical barrier to aid the humans’ retreat, but Lothar’s son, Callan, is killed. Medivh is weakened, and Garona and Khadgar take him to Karazhan to recover.
