**Storyline:**
George and Linda Gergenblatt, a married couple living in the city, decide to buy a small loft in New York after much consideration. George hopes for a promotion at work, while Linda attempts to sell her documentary to HBO. However, their plans take a turn when George’s company collapses, and HBO rejects Linda’s project. Left without jobs, they’re forced to sell their apartment and move to Atlanta to live with George’s arrogant brother, Rick, and his wife, Marisa, who offers George a job.
During their long drive to Atlanta, Linda insists they take a break. They stop at a nearby bed and breakfast called Elysium. As they approach, they’re startled by a naked man walking towards them. In their panic, George accidentally flips their car, and the man, Wayne Davidson, helps them out. Stranded, they stay at the hotel, where they meet a group of quirky guests. That night, they discover that Elysium is actually a hippie commune. Spending time with the eccentric residents, including Seth, Eva, and the owner Carvin, George and Linda feel more alive than ever. The next morning, the residents help them flip their car back, and they continue their journey to Atlanta.
Upon arriving at Rick’s house, George quickly becomes frustrated with his brother’s attitude. Deciding they’ve had enough, George and Linda return to Elysium, where they’re warmly welcomed back. While George embraces the commune’s simpler lifestyle, Linda remains hesitant. They agree to stay for a two-week trial. During their stay, Linda feels enlightened after drinking a tea laced with drugs during a “truth circle,” while George begins having doubts. They soon learn that “free love” is encouraged, leading to awkward situations as Seth and Eva try to seduce Linda and George, respectively. Despite the chaos, they navigate the bizarre experiences, finding themselves in a series of strange and humorous events.
