Description: After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Special Forces, Sergeant Chris Vaughn (played by The Rock) returns to his hometown in Kitsap County, Washington, following multiple combat deployments. Upon his return, he discovers that the local cedar mill, once a significant employer, was shut down three years ago by Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough), a childhood friend. Hamilton has since replaced it with a casino, which now dominates the local economy. Inviting Vaughn for a night at the casino, Hamilton offers a glimpse into his new venture.
While exploring the VIP lounge, Vaughn encounters Deni (Ashley Scott), a childhood friend now working as a stripper. During a craps game, he notices the dealer using loaded dice and exposes the scam by predicting the roll. After the floorman denies his payout, Vaughn instigates a fight, overpowering several security guards before being subdued with a cattle prod and left unconscious. The guards take him to the basement, where Hamilton’s henchman Booth (Kevin Durand) tortures him with a utility knife before abandoning him on a roadside. A trucker finds Vaughn and takes him to the hospital, where he makes a swift recovery.
Vaughn attempts to press charges with Sheriff Stan Watkins (Michael Bowen), but the sheriff refuses, citing the casino’s economic importance to the town. Soon after, Vaughn learns that his nephew, Pete (Khleo Thomas), was sold crystal meth by casino security guards, prompting him to take matters into his own hands. Armed with a wooden club, Vaughn storms the casino, destroying property and brutally attacking the guards. He is eventually arrested by Sheriff Watkins while fleeing the scene.
