Description: The story of *Venky Mama* (2019) begins in Draksharama, where a renowned astrologer named Ramanarayana lives with his wife Lakshmi and son Venkatarathnam. Ramanarayana opposes his daughter’s marriage, foreseeing that the couple will tragically pass away shortly after the birth of their son, Karthik. His prediction comes true when Karthik loses his parents in an accident. Ramanarayana warns that the child will bring misfortune to the family and suggests handing him over to his paternal grandparents. However, Venkatarathnam, affectionately called Venky Mama, refuses and takes on the responsibility of raising his nephew with love and care, even sacrificing his dream of joining the army.
Years later, the story shifts to Kashmir, where Venkatarathnam searches for Karthik, who has left home without notice. Venkatarathnam ventures into an army-protected area and faces prosecution while trying to convince officers about Karthik. Though they deny Karthik’s presence in their regiment, Venkatarathnam persists and begins recounting their life story. After completing his engineering degree, Karthik rejects various job offers, preferring to stay with his uncle. However, his grandfather constantly pressures him.
Karthik eventually realizes that Venkatarathnam has sacrificed his own marital life to raise him. Determined to repay his uncle, Karthik sets out to find him a suitable match. He meets Vennela, a new Hindi teacher, and tries to foster a connection between her and his uncle, but she misunderstands his intentions. Meanwhile, Karthik’s ex-lover Harika, the daughter of a corrupt MLA named Pasupathi, arrives in the village. Venkatarathnam learns about their past relationship and confronts Harika to understand why they broke up, though his efforts backfire.
Eventually, Karthik succeeds in making Vennela fall for his uncle. At the same time, Venkatarathnam discovers from Harika that Karthik prioritized his uncle over her and his own life. Realizing this, Venkatarathnam decides to distance himself from Karthik and sends him to London. However, Karthik insists that no one, not even his uncle, can separate them. Overhearing their heartfelt conversation, Harika regrets her actions and finally understands Karthik’s deep sense of devotion and integrity.
