Description: In Mysore, a woman named Neela faces harassment from a man on a bus while commuting to work. Upon returning home, she shares the incident with her grandmother, Raama, a retired inspector. Raama suggests Neela read a book titled *Vedha*, which tells the story of a former troublemaker turned vigilante named Vedha.
In the 1980s, Vedha reunites with his daughter Kanaka after her release from prison, and together they embark on a vengeful mission. They move from village to village, killing three individuals: Inspector Rudra, Giri, and Nanjappa. Vedha also rescues two women from bonded labor and punishes those responsible. Meanwhile, Raama, now serving as an inspector, begins investigating these incidents with her constable, Govindappa. Through a lawyer named Girija, Raama uncovers Vedha’s tragic past.
In the past, Vedha lived happily with his wife Pushpa and daughter Kanaka. However, Vedha was wrongly imprisoned for three days due to a theft committed by Beera. During his absence, Giri, Beera, Kalaiyan, and Nanjappa brutally assaulted Kanaka. Pushpa defended her daughter but was killed by the men. Inspector Rudra helped cover up the crime and ensured Kanaka was sent to juvenile prison. Upon learning the truth, Vedha killed a false witness, attacked Rudra, and fled the village, waiting for Kanaka’s release to seek vengeance.
In the present, Vedha and Kanaka target Kalaiyan, who commits suicide out of guilt. They then seek Beera, killing his wife and eventually Beera himself. Raama, accompanied by Paari, a sex worker, and Vedha’s supposed friend Daya, confronts Vedha. Paari reveals that Daya was also involved in Kanaka’s assault and had betrayed Vedha to Beera. Enraged, Vedha kills Daya, finally avenging Pushpa and Kanaka. The story concludes with Vedha and Kanaka scattering Pushpa’s ashes in a river and continuing their vigilante quest for justice.
