Description: In Salamanca, Spain, an assassination attempt on U.S. President Henry Ashton is depicted from various perspectives. GNN producer Rex Brooks oversees news coverage as the president arrives. The mayor introduces the president, who is shot twice upon reaching the podium, followed by an explosion outside the plaza. Shortly after, a second explosion at the podium causes further chaos and casualties.
Secret Service agent Thomas Barnes notices a curtain moving in a supposedly empty building and observes American tourist Howard Lewis filming the crowd. After the president is shot, Barnes apprehends a man named Enrique attempting to reach the podium. Following the second explosion, Barnes reviews GNN’s footage and receives a call about pursuing the suspected assassin.
Enrique, a Spanish police officer, overhears his girlfriend Veronica planning to meet a stranger under an overpass. After confronting her, he hands her a bag, which she later tosses under the podium, causing the explosion. Enrique escapes and confronts an unknown individual at the overpass.
In the crowd, Howard Lewis interacts with a man named Sam and a young girl named Anna. Lewis films Barnes and later chases Enrique and the Secret Service agents. At the overpass, agents shoot Enrique as he approaches someone in a police uniform. As an ambulance speeds toward Anna, Lewis rushes to save her.
