Her husband, Manish, grows resentful of her rising fame, leading to a rift in their marriage. He takes responsibility for raising their daughter, Aditi, while Sarojini remains engrossed in her career. Despite her achievements, Sarojini questions whether her success truly brings her happiness. After Manish’s sudden death, Sarojini sends Aditi to a hostel, further straining their relationship. Shortly after her arrival, Sarojini receives a prestigious award. Unfortunately, it coincides with the anniversary of Manish’s death, which Sarojini appears to have forgotten. Misunderstandings and emotional clashes create a suffocating atmosphere.
Aditi’s life takes another blow when her fiancé, Prosenjit Chatterjee, abandons her after his family learns of Sarojini’s profession, following the public announcement of her award. Devastated, Aditi attempts suicide, prompting a heartfelt conversation with her mother.
