Description: Disney Channel is bringing back the Halloween spirit with *Under Wraps 2*, a sequel to last year’s DCOM remake. In the first installment, Marshall and his friends worked to protect their mummy companion, Harold, and ensured his safe return to eternal rest. However, a new mummy’s awakening once again calls for their help.
The story delves into ancient Egypt, where Harold and his close friend Sobek had a falling out over their shared affection for Rose. Convinced that Harold stole Rose from him, Sobek swore vengeance, even from beyond the grave. In the present day, Sobek’s mummified remains are displayed in a museum when a security guard named Larry inadvertently exposes them to moonlight. This act activates the Red Jasper amulet around Sobek’s neck, reviving the mummy and hypnotizing Larry to carry out his wishes.
This Halloween season is hectic for Gilbert, who has gained internet fame by recording his reactions to scary situations. Meanwhile, Amy is busy editing Gilbert’s videos and organizing her father’s Halloween wedding reception. Feeling left out, Marshall longs for his mummy friend Harold. When Marshall discovers that Sobek plans to kidnap Rose, it gives him a bittersweet reason to wake Harold up once again.
While *Under Wraps 2* introduces a genuine antagonist, the film remains family-friendly with its TV-G rating. Sobek stands apart from Harold and Rose with a jeweled eye patch, though he’s no more intimidating. Jordan Conley’s portrayal of Larry, Sobek’s enchanted servant, adds a comedic touch, softening any potential menace. Set against the backdrop of a Halloween festival, the movie offers *Hocus Pocus*-style fun, with streets filled with mummies (or people dressed as them), making it challenging for Sobek to locate Harold and Rose after they leave their coffins.
