Description: Lee Jung-soo, played by Ha Jung-woo, is on his way home to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. While driving through a mountain tunnel, it suddenly collapses, trapping him inside his car beneath layers of concrete and debris. With only his cellphone, two bottles of water, and his daughter’s birthday cake, Jung-soo must fight for survival.
The news of the tunnel collapse shocks South Korea, prompting the government to quickly establish an accident task force. Daekyung, portrayed by Oh Dal-su, leads the rescue efforts, but the unstable structure slows progress. Meanwhile, Jung-soo’s wife, Se-hyun, played by Bae Doo-na, sends messages of hope through the radio, which Jung-soo can hear, keeping his spirits alive.
As the rescue operation drags on, it begins to impact the construction of a nearby tunnel, causing public opinion to split over prioritizing survival versus structural safety.
