Description: In Mexico, police officer Javier Rodriguez, along with his partner Manolo Sanchez, intercepts a drug shipment and arrests the couriers. Their operation is disrupted by General Salazar, a high-ranking official who recruits Javier. Salazar tasks him with capturing Francisco Flores, a hitman for the Tijuana Cartel led by the Obregón brothers, aiming to dismantle their cocaine operation.
Under torture, Flores reveals crucial information leading to the arrest of key cartel members. However, Javier soon uncovers the truth: Salazar is secretly working for the Juárez Cartel, led by drug lord Porfirio Madrigal, known as “The Scorpion.” The anti-drug campaign is a facade to eliminate the Obregón cartel for Juárez’s benefit.
When Manolo tries to expose Salazar’s ties to the DEA, he is murdered, and Javier is forced to witness the execution. Unable to continue collaborating with Salazar, Javier strikes a deal with the DEA. He expresses remorse for betraying his government but agrees to testify in exchange for electricity in his neighborhood, hoping it will provide children with a safe environment to play baseball and shield them from the lure of drugs and crime.
