**Storyline:**
During lunch with Benny, Top Cat notices a female cat passing by. Excusing himself, he quickly approaches her, briefly interrupted by Griswald, but eventually meets the cat, who introduces herself as Trixie. While she finds him entertaining, an alley cat isn’t her preferred type.
Back in the alley, Top Cat learns about the Maharajah of Peekajoo, known for his generosity and valuable rubies. Seeing an opportunity to impress Trixie, Top Cat and his gang head to Connity Hall to meet the Maharajah. There, they encounter a rude man named Lou Strickland. The gang steals his tickets and gets him removed. While distracting Officer Dibble, who is escorting the Maharajah, Top Cat makes a bet with the Maharajah and wins a multifunctional Maharaja Talk 5000 device, as the rubies are unavailable.
The following morning, Officer Dibble is called to the police station, now under the control of Strickland, the Chief’s son-in-law. Strickland replaces the staff with robots, believing they are more efficient. Top Cat foils Strickland’s attempt to evict him, stopping Strickland from securing the Mayor’s funding for a robot police force. Upon realizing their encounter, Strickland uses Trixie to keep Top Cat away from the alley while plotting his revenge.
When Top Cat returns to the alley, his gang rejects him, and he is arrested. After a swift trial based on fabricated evidence, he is convicted of stealing money from an orphanage and sent to Dog Jail.
