Description: In 1996, treasure hunter Brock Lovett and his team explore the wreck of the RMS Titanic in search of a necklace adorned with a rare diamond known as the Heart of the Ocean. They retrieve a safe containing a drawing of a young woman wearing the necklace, dated April 14, 1912—the day the Titanic collided with an iceberg. Later, Rose Dawson Calvert, claiming to be the woman in the drawing, visits Lovett and shares her experiences aboard the ship.
In 1912, 17-year-old Rose DeWitt Bukater, her fiancé Cal Hockley, and her mother Ruth board the Titanic in Southampton as first-class passengers. Jack Dawson, a struggling sketch artist, and his friend Fabrizio also board the ship. Rose, distressed about her arranged marriage to Cal, contemplates suicide by jumping from the stern. Jack saves her from falling, and though Cal is indifferent, he invites Jack to dine with them in first class the following night.
As Jack and Rose form a tentative friendship, Cal and Ruth grow wary of him. After dinner, Rose secretly attends a third-class party with Jack, unaware that Cal’s butler is spying on her. Their bond deepens amidst the unfolding tragedy of the Titanic’s fate.
