Description: Laura Price, a successful San Francisco lawyer on the verge of promotion, is worlds away from her childhood spent on a tropical island with her best friends, Chip and Gem. When her firm’s biggest client—Chip’s grandfather—requests her to travel to the island and deliver a contract making Chip his heir, Laura leaves behind her practice and fiancé, Owen, to persuade her childhood friend to sign the agreement, which would make him a billionaire.
Laura, portrayed by Saskie Hampele, is a highly ambitious corporate lawyer engaged to Owen, played by Craig Horner, a fellow lawyer who barely has time for her. Once approached by Graham Finlay (Martin Portus), a family friend and wealthy businessman, Laura sees this as her chance to secure a partnership at her firm by convincing Chip (Liam McIntyre) to take over the family business. She returns to her hometown, Sapphire Cove, a stunning tropical paradise.
Chip, however, is determined to avoid following in his grandfather’s footsteps, preferring a carefree life of fishing, sailing, hiking, and horseback riding. Though thrilled to reunite with Laura, he notices she has changed significantly since leaving the island years ago. As Laura reconnects with her past, she begins to realize what she’s been missing in her high-pressure career. Together, Laura and Chip rediscover shared values and ambitions, setting the stage for a journey of personal growth and mutual understanding.
