Description: The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom is a 2014 Chinese wuxia-fantasy film adapted from the classic work, Baifa Monü Zhuan. Directed by Jacob Cheung and produced by Bona Film Group, the movie features a stellar cast including Fan Bingbing, Huang Xiaoming, and Vincent Zhao, among others. Initially set for release on April 25, 2014, the premiere was rescheduled to August 1, 2014, and eventually moved to July 31, 2014.
The film was made with a budget of 100 million yuan. Filming began in November 2012 and concluded in March 2013. During production, Huang Xiaoming suffered an accident on set when he fell three meters due to a wire malfunction, resulting in two fractured toes on his left foot. Despite this setback, he returned to filming in a wheelchair before fully recovering. On April 2, 2013, Huang and Fan Bingbing participated in a press conference in Beijing to share their experiences working on the movie.
