**Storyline:**
Thom, a talented engineering student at Cambridge University, is pursued by several major oil companies offering lucrative salaries and perks. During their conversation, Thom receives an anonymous text from someone watching him in the restaurant, instructing him to meet at a club.
He arrives at the designated location and encounters Lorraine, who introduces him to Walter, the head of a salvaging company. Walter’s team had previously recovered a significant treasure known as “the treasure of Guadalupe,” but it was seized by the Spanish government due to illegal salvaging. Walter assembles a skilled team, including Lorraine, a con artist; Simon, a logistics expert; Klaus, a computer hacker; and James, Walter’s longtime treasure-hunting partner.
Walter seeks Thom’s engineering expertise to help breach a secure vault within the Bank of Spain holding the confiscated treasure. Thom agrees and joins the team in Madrid during the 2010 World Cup, as Spain competes for the championship. Using the noise from the massive crowds gathered to watch the matches as cover, they discover that the vault is a giant scale beneath a water reservoir. Any fluctuation in weight would trigger a flood, drowning intruders.
With time running out before the World Cup finals, Thom devises a plan to freeze the scale using 500 liters of liquid nitrogen, slowing its mechanics long enough to retrieve the treasure without triggering a flood.
