Storyline:
Every seven to ten years, a secret event known as “The Tournament” is organized by the world’s wealthiest and most powerful individuals. These men, who have ties to both law enforcement and the criminal underworld, control the international media with their vast fortunes and have created this deadly competition for their own entertainment. Held in a randomly chosen city, the tournament remains unknown to the public, with its violence disguised as natural disasters, terrorism, or lone madmen.
Participants, known as contestants, are among the most dangerous and skilled individuals globally, selected from special forces, serial killers, professional assassins, and elite athletes. They volunteer for the chance to win a $10 million cash prize by being the last survivor. Each contestant is implanted with a tracking device, allowing organizers to monitor their movements and location during the 24-hour event. If no winner emerges by the end, the devices explode.
Beyond the prize money, the victor earns the title of “World’s Number 1,” a reputation that comes with a legendary million-dollar-a-bullet contract killing offer. The organizers also use the tournament as a high-stakes gambling event, betting on the outcomes for added excitement.
In the latest tournament, the event takes place in Middlesbrough, a town in the United Kingdom. The country’s extensive mass surveillance system, including CCTV and satellite monitoring, allows the organizers to closely follow and record every moment of the deadly competition.
