Description: The Social Network (2010) Movie: Full Storyline

On October 28, 2003, Mark Zuckerberg, a 19-year-old Harvard University sophomore, is dumped by his girlfriend Erica Albright. Returning to his dorm, Zuckerberg vents his frustration by posting an insulting comment about Albright on his Live Journal blog. He then creates a controversial campus website called Facemash, where he hacks into college databases to steal photos of female students and allows visitors to rate their attractiveness. The site’s overwhelming traffic crashes parts of Harvard’s computer network, resulting in Zuckerberg receiving six months of academic probation. Despite the backlash, Facemash’s popularity catches the attention of twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, along with their business partner Divya Narendra. They invite Zuckerberg to collaborate on Harvard Connection, a social network exclusively for Harvard students focused on dating.

Zuckerberg, however, approaches his friend Eduardo Saverin with an idea for a new platform called The Facebook, a social networking site exclusive to Ivy League students. Saverin provides $1,000 in seed funding, enabling Zuckerberg to develop the website, which quickly gains traction. When the Winklevoss twins and Narendra discover The Facebook, they accuse Zuckerberg of stealing their idea and misleading them by delaying Harvard Connection’s development. They take their complaint to Harvard President Larry Summers, who dismisses their concerns, seeing no grounds for disciplinary action against Zuckerberg.

As The Facebook’s popularity grows, Zuckerberg expands the network to Yale, Columbia, and Stanford universities. During this time, Saverin and Zuckerberg meet student Christy Lee, who casually asks them to “Facebook me,” a phrase that resonates with them. Lee later introduces them to Napster co-founder Sean Parker, who envisions Facebook as a billion-dollar company. While Zuckerberg is captivated by Parker’s vision, Saverin is skeptical, viewing Parker as paranoid and delusional. Parker also suggests rebranding the platform simply as Facebook. Following Parker’s advice, Zuckerberg relocates the company to Palo Alto, while Saverin remains in New York to focus on business development.
