Description: The Simpsons Movie (2007) is an animated comedy film that follows the beloved Simpson family as they navigate a hilarious and chaotic adventure. Set in Springfield, the story begins with Green Day performing on Lake Springfield, but their environmental message falls flat. Tragedy strikes when the polluted lake causes their barge to sink, leading to their demise. During their memorial, Grampa Simpson experiences a vision and predicts an impending disaster, which only Marge takes seriously. Meanwhile, Lisa and her new love interest, Colin, organize a seminar to convince the town to clean up the lake.
Homer, on the other hand, adopts a pig from Krusty Burger, ignoring Marge’s warnings that it’s tied to Grampa’s prophecy. As Bart grows frustrated with Homer’s careless behavior, he begins to see their neighbor, Ned Flanders, as a father figure. When Homer dumps the pig’s waste into the lake, it causes severe pollution, leading to a squirrel becoming grotesquely mutated. This catches the attention of Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, who presents President Schwarzenegger with drastic solutions.
The town is sealed under a giant glass dome, and when Homer’s actions are discovered, the townspeople turn against the Simpsons, forcing them to flee to Alaska. Over time, cracks appear in the dome, and Cargill plots to destroy Springfield to cover up the crisis. The film is a wild ride filled with humor, action, and the signature charm of the Simpson family.
