The story of *The Roundup* unfolds four years after the events in Garibong-dong. Detective Ma Seok-do, along with Captain Jeon Il-man and his team, travels to Vietnam to extradite a suspect. Upon arrival, Detective Ma uncovers additional murder cases connected to Kang Hae-sang, a ruthless killer targeting tourists for money over several years. When Kang kills the son of a Korean business tycoon, the mission escalates. The killer evades capture in Vietnam and smuggles himself into South Korea to blackmail the tycoon. Despite Detective Ma’s relentless pursuit, Kang continues his kidnapping and murder spree. The film follows Detective Ma’s efforts to gather evidence, prove Kang’s crimes, and bring him to justice.
