Chris impresses Jay by solving a Rubik’s Cube during a cab ride, but later finds himself unable to pay the fare and flees, losing one of his scanners in the process. This encounter, however, earns him an opportunity to intern as a stockbroker. Despite facing numerous challenges—eviction threats, a night in jail for unpaid parking tickets, and showing up to his interview in disheveled attire—Chris secures the unpaid internship. Among 20 candidates, he must compete for a paid position, while his wife Linda, frustrated by their financial instability, leaves for New York in search of better prospects.
