Description: In Ancient Egypt, the Hebrew people, who are enslaved, pray to God for their freedom. Pharaoh Seti, fearing a rebellion due to the increasing number of Hebrew slaves, orders the killing of all newborn Hebrew boys. Yocheved, fearing for her newborn son’s life, places him in a basket on the Nile River, accompanied by a heartfelt lullaby. Her daughter, Miriam, follows the basket and sees it reach Pharaoh’s palace, where Queen Tuya adopts the baby and names him Moses. Before leaving, Miriam prays for Moses to return one day and free their people.
Years later, Moses and his adoptive brother Rameses, the heir to the throne, are reprimanded by Pharaoh Seti after accidentally destroying a temple during a chariot race. Moses suggests that Rameses should prove himself, leading Seti to appoint Rameses as Prince Regent with authority over Egypt’s temples. As a gift, the high priests offer Rameses a rebellious Midianite woman, Tzipporah. Uninterested in her defiance, Rameses gives her to Moses and appoints him Royal Chief Architect. At a banquet, Moses humiliates Tzipporah by letting her fall into a pond after she refuses to submit, pleasing the crowd but disappointing Queen Tuya.
Later, Moses encounters Miriam and Aaron, now adults, who claim to know his true identity. He dismisses their words until Miriam sings the lullaby from his childhood, sparking his memories. Disturbed, Moses confronts Pharaoh Seti, who confesses to the genocide of Hebrew children and dismisses the Hebrews as mere slaves. Overwhelmed with guilt after accidentally killing an Egyptian slave driver, Moses flees into the desert, leaving Rameses behind despite his pleas to stay.
