Description: In 2018, *The Possession of Hannah Grace* tells a chilling story centered around a terrifying exorcism gone wrong. During the ritual, Hannah Grace, possessed by a sinister force, nearly kills the priest by choking him while levitating in midair. Desperate, her father, Grainger, suffocates her with a pillow, ending her life. As she dies, the priest collapses, gasping for breath. In a haunting moment, a fly lands on her hand, and her fingers twitch ominously.
Three months later, Megan Reed, a former Boston Police Department officer, struggles with depression and a pill addiction after failing to save her partner during a fatal shooting. Her friend, Lisa Roberts, helps her secure a nightshift job at Boston Metro Hospital’s morgue. The morgue, located in a daunting brutalist-style building, becomes the setting for the unfolding horror. On her first shift, Megan encounters Grainger, who aggressively tries to enter the morgue but is turned away. Shortly after, Megan assists EMT Randy in transporting the corpse of a young woman—later revealed to be Hannah Grace—into the morgue. Unbeknownst to Megan, Grainger sneaks into the building.
As Megan begins her duties, strange occurrences plague her. When she attempts to fingerprint and photograph Hannah’s corpse, the camera explodes, and the fingerprints appear unreadable. Suspicious, Megan conducts research and discovers Hannah’s death during an exorcism. She also notices that Hannah’s bright blue eyes don’t match the description on her driver’s license. The tension escalates when Megan encounters Grainger, who has infiltrated the morgue in an attempt to retrieve Hannah’s body.
The film weaves a tale of supernatural horror and psychological tension, as Megan uncovers the dark secrets surrounding Hannah’s possession and the malevolent force that refuses to let her rest.
