Description: In 1995, Luke Glanton is a motorcycle stuntman traveling with a carnival. When he arrives in Schenectady, he reconnects with his former lover, Romina Gutierrez, who is now in a relationship with another man named Kofi Kancam. Luke learns that Romina has a baby named Jason, whom he unknowingly fathered the previous year. Romina had never informed him about the child. Determined to be part of their lives, Luke leaves the carnival to stay in Schenectady with Romina and Jason.
He takes a part-time job with an auto mechanic named Robin Van Der Hook. Seeking more opportunities, Luke asks Robin for additional work, but Robin cannot provide it legally. Instead, Robin reveals his past as a bank robber and proposes that they commit a series of robberies together. Luke agrees, and Robin lets him stay in a trailer near his home. They carry out several heists, with Luke using his motorcycle skills to escape after robbing banks, while Robin drives the getaway vehicle.
As Luke grows closer to Romina, they rekindle their relationship, and he begins spending more time with her and Jason. However, tensions rise when Luke enters Romina and Kofi’s home to assemble a crib for Jason. Kofi demands that Luke leave, but Luke reacts violently and strikes him with a wrench. He is arrested, and Robin bails him out. Luke explains that he wants to provide financially for Jason’s future, leading him to insist on continuing their robberies. When Robin refuses, their partnership falls apart, and Robin dismantles Luke’s motorcycle.
Desperate, Luke robs Robin and uses the money to buy a new bike. He attempts a solo bank robbery, but the plan goes awry. Pursued by the police, Luke flees on foot and takes refuge in a stranger’s home. From there, he calls Romina, asking her not to tell Jason about him.
