The Tiger trio faces a new challenge when they engage in a battle against a group of young, skilled fighters in an empty pool. Despite their aging bodies and faded glory, the Tigers manage to win the fight, albeit through unconventional and less-than-graceful methods. Danny, a divorced father, struggles with his stamina, Hing limps due to a bad knee, and Jim, who runs a boxing studio, seems to have forgotten his fighting skills altogether.
This heartfelt film, which garnered funding through Kickstarter, marks the directorial debut of Tran Quoc Bao. Drawing from his own experiences as an Asian-American growing up on the West Coast with a passion for Bruce Lee, Bao reimagines the traditional kung fu comedy genre with a fresh and relatable perspective.
