Description: The Omen, released in 1976, tells the story of American diplomat Robert Thorn and his wife Kathy, who are living in Rome. After their newborn son dies, Robert is persuaded by hospital chaplain Father Spiletto to secretly adopt another baby whose mother died during childbirth. Without telling Kathy the truth, they name the child Damien.

Five years later, Robert is appointed Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and strange events begin to unfold. A menacing Rottweiler appears at their home, Damien’s nanny hangs herself at his birthday party, and a new nanny, Mrs. Baylock, arrives uninvited. Damien resists entering a church and causes animals at a wildlife park to panic.

Father Brennan warns Robert that Damien is not human and is actually the son of Satan. He predicts that Damien will harm his unborn sibling and parents unless he is stopped. Soon after, Brennan dies in a freak accident, and Damien injures Kathy, causing her to miscarry.

Photographer Keith Jennings discovers shadows in photos that seem to predict death. He shares his findings with Robert, including news clippings and biblical passages hinting at the rise of the Antichrist. Together, they travel to Rome to investigate Damien’s origins. They discover that a fire destroyed Kathy’s maternity records and killed the hospital staff. They meet Father Spiletto, now mute and partially paralyzed, who directs them to a cemetery where Damien’s biological mother is buried.

In the grave, they find a jackal carcass and the skeleton of Robert and Kathy’s deceased son. Robert realizes the jackal is Damien’s mother and that his own son was murdered to make way for Damien. As they leave, a pack of Rottweilers chases them away.
