StoryLine: In the year 2961, after humanity’s decline, nature has reclaimed the land. A hunter named Cygnus is summoned to go beyond his usual duties. He supports Last Arc, a group of survivors who once roamed nomadically but now face dwindling resources. As food and water become scarce, Cygnus must act swiftly before a group of Heretics invades. Sent by Nova, the group’s matriarch, he embarks on a perilous journey across a treacherous landscape to protect his people. Nova envisions Cygnus discovering a seed of hope that will secure the future of Last Arc. Along the way, Cygnus encounters numerous dangers and traps, ultimately uncovering his true identity.
One night, Amleth escapes the farm and meets a He-witch, who enables a spiritual conversation between Amleth and the late Heimir, revealing that Fjölnir murdered him. The He-witch also tells Amleth about Draugr, a magical sword accessible only at night or near the Gates of Hel. Amleth retrieves the sword after battling the undead Mound Dweller. The following day, Amleth is chosen to participate in a violent knattleikr game, during which he saves Gunnar from harm. As a reward, Thorir, Fjölnir’s son, appoints Amleth to lead the slaves and grants him the choice of a woman.
During the evening festivities, Amleth and Olga pledge to collaborate in defeating Fjölnir and his men. Over the next few nights, Amleth eliminates several of Fjölnir’s followers, while Olga sabotages their food with hallucinogenic mushrooms. The ensuing chaos allows Amleth to infiltrate Fjölnir’s home.
