Description: The Message (1976) Movie Synopsis.
The story begins with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) inviting surrounding rulers—including Heraclius, the Byzantine Emperor; the Patriarch of Alexandria; and the Sasanian Emperor—to embrace Islam. Earlier, the Prophet is visited by the angel Gabriel, who commands him to spread the teachings of Islam. Over time, many in Mecca begin to convert, leading to increased hostility. Enemies target Prophet Muhammad and his followers, forcing them to flee and confiscating their belongings. Some seek refuge in Abyssinia under the protection of its king.
The group travels north to Medina, where they are warmly received and establish the first Islamic mosque. Upon learning their possessions are being sold in Mecca, Prophet Muhammad initially opts for peace but eventually permits defensive action. Muslims win the Battle of Badr, but the Meccans retaliate with a larger force at the Battle of Uhud, resulting in the death of Hamza. The Muslims suffer a setback but later agree to a 10-year truce with the Meccans.
Years later, Khalid ibn Walid, a former Meccan general who had fought against the Muslims, converts to Islam. Meanwhile, Muslim camps in the desert are attacked at night. Believing the Meccans are responsible, the Muslims prepare for retaliation. Abu Sufyan, a Meccan leader, denies involvement, claiming the attacks were carried out by robbers. The Muslims, distrustful of his claims, gather a large army and launch an attack on Mecca.
