Description: Set during the Cold War in 1963, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” follows Napoleon Solo, a former thief turned CIA agent. Tasked with extracting Gaby Teller, the daughter of a Nazi scientist, from East Berlin, Solo evades KGB operative Illya Kuryakin. Gaby’s father, Dr. Udo Teller, collaborated with the U.S. after World War II, but his research is now sought by Alexander and Victoria Vinciguerra, a wealthy Nazi-sympathizing couple aiming to build a private nuclear weapon. To prevent global catastrophe, the CIA and KGB reluctantly team up. Solo and Kuryakin are ordered to stop the Vinciguerras while secretly competing to secure Teller’s research for their respective governments.
In Rome, Gaby and Kuryakin pose as an engaged couple, and Solo pretends to be an antiquities dealer. Despite their mutual hostility, they work together to gather information. At a high-profile auto racing event hosted by the Vinciguerras, Solo and Gaby flirt with the couple to uncover their plans. Meanwhile, Kuryakin discovers evidence of radiation exposure, confirming the weapon’s near completion. The trio infiltrates a Vinciguerra shipping yard, finding traces of uranium. After triggering an alarm, they narrowly escape, with Solo saving Kuryakin from drowning. Victoria grows suspicious but is unable to expose them. Their mission continues as they strive to thwart the Vinciguerras’ dangerous ambitions.
