Description: During a softball game at an American oil company compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, al-Qaeda terrorists detonate a bomb, killing both Americans and Saudis. As chaos erupts, one group hijacks a car and opens fire on residents, while a suicide bomber disguised as a police officer detonates himself, causing further devastation. Saudi State Police Sergeant Haytham eliminates the carjackers. Meanwhile, FBI Special Agent Ronald Fleury is briefed by his colleague, Legal Attaché Fran Manner, about the attack. Shortly after, an ambulance rigged with explosives is detonated, killing Manner, DSS Agent Rex Burr, and many others.
At FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Fleury assembles his team to investigate the incident. Despite opposition from the U.S. Justice and State Departments, Fleury uses leverage to gain access to Saudi Arabia for his team. The group includes forensic examiner Janet Mayes, intelligence analyst Adam Leavitt, and bomb technician Grant Sykes. Upon arrival, they meet Colonel Faris al-Ghazi, the Saudi State Police commander overseeing security at the compound. However, General Al Abdulmalik of the Saudi National Guard restricts their access to the investigation.
Fleury and his team are invited to a dinner at the palace of Saudi Prince Ahmed bin Khaled. During the event, Fleury convinces the Prince to appoint Colonel al-Ghazi as the lead investigator, allowing the FBI team to directly examine the crime scene. As they search for clues, Sergeant Haytham and Sykes uncover evidence that the second explosion originated from an ambulance. Fleury also discovers that the brother of one of the deceased terrorists had access to ambulances and police uniforms, pointing to a deeper conspiracy.
