Description: The Invisible Man (2020) is a gripping thriller about Cecilia, who seeks refuge with Detective James Lanier and his daughter Sydney after escaping her abusive relationship with Adrian. Two weeks later, Adrian apparently commits suicide, leaving Cecilia a $5 million trust fund managed by his brother, Tom. However, Cecilia begins to suspect that Adrian faked his death and is using his expertise in optics to become invisible and torment her.
Strange occurrences in the house escalate her fears, but James dismisses them as trauma. During a meltdown at a job interview, Cecilia discovers her portfolio is empty, and she later finds a bottle of diazepam in her bathroom—the same she used to drug Adrian during her escape. When Sydney is mysteriously attacked, James and Sydney blame Cecilia, deepening her isolation. Determined to prove her suspicions, Cecilia uncovers evidence of Adrian’s optical bodysuit and hides it, but the invisible figure attacks again. Tragically, her friend Emily is killed, and Cecilia is framed for the murder.
While awaiting trial in a psychiatric hospital, Cecilia learns she’s pregnant—Adrian’s manipulation through tampered birth control. Tom offers to clear her charges if she returns to Adrian and raises the child, revealing his complicity in the scheme. Refusing the offer, Cecilia stages a desperate plan to expose the invisible figure once and for all.
