**Storyline:**
Dave Skylark is the host of the popular talk show “Skylark Tonight,” where he interviews celebrities about personal topics and gossip. After celebrating the 1,000th episode, producer Aaron Rapaport feels discouraged when a colleague criticizes the show for lacking journalistic integrity. Rapaport shares his concerns with Skylark, who agrees to make changes.
Later, Skylark discovers that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show. Rapaport arranges an interview with him, traveling to China to meet with a propaganda minister and secure the meeting. Upon their return, CIA agent Lacey approaches them, asking them to assassinate Kim using a ricin patch during a handshake. Reluctantly, they agree.
During their visit to Pyongyang, Skylark and Rapaport face numerous challenges, including losing the ricin patch to one of Kim’s bodyguards and receiving airdropped replacements via a drone. Skylark spends time bonding with Kim, learning about his personal life and realizing he is more complex than portrayed. However, witnessing Kim’s darker side makes Skylark question their mission, leading to a dramatic turn of events.
