Storyline:
Set in 1877, the story follows bounty hunter and Civil War veteran Major Marquis Warren as he transports three dead bounties to Red Rock, Wyoming. While on a stagecoach driven by O.B., he meets bounty hunter John Ruth, who is escorting fugitive Daisy Domergue to Red Rock for execution. The two form an alliance to protect their bounties. Chris Mannix, a former militiaman and the newly appointed sheriff of Red Rock, joins them on their journey.
Seeking shelter from a blizzard, the group stops at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach lodge. There, they encounter several suspicious characters: Bob, a Mexican man claiming to be taking care of the lodge; Oswaldo Mobray, who claims to be the town’s new hangman; Joe Gage, a cowboy visiting his mother; and Sanford Smithers, a former Confederate general mourning his son’s death.
Tensions rise as Warren and Ruth grow suspicious of their fellow lodgers. Warren provokes Smithers, leading to a confrontation where Smithers is killed. Meanwhile, someone poisons the coffee, resulting in the deaths of Ruth and O.B. Domergue manages to kill Ruth in the chaos.
The film delves into themes of mistrust, revenge, and survival as the group navigates their suspicions and confrontations in the isolated lodge.
