**Storyline:**
Nicholas Van Orton, a wealthy investment banker, is estranged from his ex-wife and younger brother, Conrad. Haunted by witnessing his father’s suicide on his 48th birthday, Nicholas approaches his own 48th birthday with unease. Conrad gives him a unique gift—a voucher for a game offered by Consumer Recreation Services (CRS), promising it will change his life.
Skeptical about CRS, Nicholas meets colleagues who have enjoyed the game. He visits the CRS offices to apply but becomes frustrated with the extensive psychological and physical tests required. Later, he learns his application has been rejected. Soon, Nicholas begins to suspect his business, reputation, finances, and safety are at risk.
He encounters Christine, a waitress who seems to be a victim of the game. When Nicholas contacts the police, they discover the CRS offices abandoned. Conrad reappears, apologizing and claiming CRS has targeted him. With no other options, Nicholas tracks down Christine, only to discover she is a CRS employee and her apartment is a fake setup.
Christine warns they are being watched, and when Nicholas attacks a nearby camera, armed CRS agents storm the house, forcing the pair to flee. Christine reveals CRS drained his bank accounts using information from the psychological tests. Panicking, Nicholas calls his bank, provides a verification code, and learns his balance is zero. Realizing Christine drugged him, he passes out as she admits her role in the scam.
Nicholas wakes up buried alive in a Mexican cemetery. After selling his gold watch to return to the US, he finds his mansion foreclosed and most of his possessions gone.
