Description: In Bucharest, U.S. Marine Gunnery Sergeant Alexandra “Ali” Gorski is assigned to protect a convoy transporting the ambassador’s daughter. Despite her fierce and effective combat skills, the convoy is ambushed by armed mercenaries who kill the ambassador, his wife, and their daughter. After leaving the Marines, Ali returns to New York City, where her uncle, Pat, informs her about a job at The Carrington Hotel, where he works. Ali is hired as a doorman, working alongside another employee named Borz.
Upon starting her job, Ali discovers that her late sister’s husband, Professor Jon Stanton, and his two children, Max and Lily, reside in the hotel. Jon and Ali had an affair during her sister’s marriage, which led Ali to join the Marines to escape the situation. She is invited to their Easter dinner.
During the Easter holiday, Pat is brutally killed by Borz, who reveals he has been posing as a doorman to locate valuable paintings hidden in the hotel. A group of mercenaries, led by Victor Dubois, arrives and initiates a lockdown. Dubois, Borz, and their men invade Bernard Hersch’s apartment. Bernard, suffering from akinetic mutism, is recognized by Dubois as Erich Dreischler. When Bernard fails to reveal the paintings’ location, Borz stabs his hand, reviving his memory, though he still can’t recall where the paintings are. Bernard’s wife explains they moved from Room 10C seven years ago, which is now occupied by the Stantons. The mercenaries head to 10C, and Borz kills Bernard and his wife.
At 10C, Dubois and his men take Jon and Lily hostage, while Max escapes after spotting the intruders. Dubois eventually uncovers a hidden safe containing the paintings. Martinez uses a water-cooled drill to bypass the safe’s combination. Jon tries to distract Dubois by offering him wine to give Lily a chance to use Dubois’ laptop to call for help via Facebook. However, Borz catches her, and Dubois forces her to delete the message.
