Description: Ben and Tina, a young engaged couple from New York who are passionate YouTube creators, travel across Europe to explore reportedly haunted houses and document their experiences. During their journey, they head to southwestern France in search of a submerged sanatorium in an artificial lake, only to discover it’s a popular tourist spot. A local man named Pierre offers to take them to a secluded part of the lake in the Chanteloup forest, an area deliberately flooded in 1984 to prevent recurring, devastating floods. Pierre claims that a perfectly preserved mansion lies beneath the water.
Upon reaching the location, Ben and Tina dive in and quickly find the house, noting its remarkably intact state. As they explore, strange occurrences begin: they hear unsettling voices and noises, their drone’s motion tracker detects movement without any visible cause, and their equipment starts malfunctioning. Inside, they discover rooms filled with photos, posters, and news clippings about missing children, along with satanic symbols and deep scratches on the doorposts. In the kitchen, they find a door blocked by a large cross. Behind it lies a room with two chained, masked corpses suspended above a satanic pentagram, and another room filled with jars of preserved human body parts.
Panicked, Ben and Tina attempt to escape, but the window they entered through is now sealed by a brick wall. Their search for another exit proves futile. While trying to open a cellar grate near the bodies, Tina is suddenly attacked, though the assault stops abruptly. Ben, however, denies anything unusual happened. Intrigued, Ben removes the masks from the corpses, revealing them to be the Montégnacs, the former owners of the house. The corpses come to life and chase them through the mansion. In their desperate attempt to escape via a chimney, the shaft collapses, trapping them on separate floors.
