**Storyline:**
Superman has risen as a beloved superhero in Metropolis and across the globe. After thwarting an attempt by Intergang to abduct the mayor, he takes a piece of their technology to S.T.A.R. Labs for analysis. Following this, Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane interviews Superman about his family heritage and his arrival on Earth. Later that evening, Lois meets Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, unaware that Clark is Superman’s human identity. Her limited knowledge about Clark’s personal life leaves her upset and reevaluating their relationship.
At S.T.A.R. Labs, Dr. Silas Stone and Dr. John Irons analyze the Intergang technology and discover it combines Apokoliptian and Earth origins, leading Superman to suspect his nemesis Lex Luthor’s involvement. However, Luthor, under government arrest, denies any role, though Superman remains unconvinced. Meanwhile, in space, astronauts Hank Henshaw, his wife Terri, and their crew encounter a sudden meteorite strike, resulting in the deaths of Terri and the crew, while Hank’s fate remains uncertain. Upon crash-landing in the ocean, Luthor sends a submarine crew to investigate, but they, along with the Atlanteans, are attacked and killed by a massive being in a containment suit, which then embarks on a destructive rampage.
At a restaurant owned by Superman fan Bibbo Bibbowski, Clark reveals his true identity as Superman to Lois and confesses his love for her. Meanwhile, the mysterious being advances toward Metropolis, unleashing chaos until the Justice League intervenes. The creature severely injures multiple League members and nearly kills Wonder Woman before Superman arrives to confront it. The being sheds its suit, revealing itself as a monstrous gray-skinned, white-haired entity with immense strength, endurance, and invulnerability.
