Description: Michael MacCauley, a former NYPD officer now working as an insurance agent, commutes daily on the Hudson Line from Tarrytown to Grand Central Terminal. His routine is disrupted when he is unexpectedly laid off, jeopardizing his family’s financial stability. Instead of immediately sharing this news with his wife and son, he confides in Murphy, his former police partner. On his way home, Michael encounters a mysterious woman named Joanna, who presents him with a hypothetical task. She instructs him to locate a passenger known by the alias “Prynne,” who she claims has stolen something. Joanna offers him $25,000 upfront, with an additional $75,000 upon completion. Relying on his background as a cop, Michael begins his search.
As Michael tries to leave the train with the money, he is intercepted by a teenager who delivers an envelope containing his wife’s wedding ring, signaling a threat. Unable to reach his wife by phone, Michael discreetly seeks help from a fellow passenger named Walt. He leaves a voicemail for Murphy detailing the situation, only to receive a call from Joanna threatening his family. She reveals that the train is under surveillance and directs Michael’s attention outside, where he witnesses Walt being killed. Joanna instructs Michael to plant a GPS tracker on Prynne, escalating the tension.
Michael devises a plan to locate Prynne, leading to a confrontation with a suspect. Murphy informs Michael that Prynne is a crucial witness in the alleged suicide of city official Enrique Mendez, exposing a larger conspiracy. Realizing he has been set up, Michael must navigate the dangerous situation to protect himself and his family.
